TAG TIME

Time for another challenge at Creative Inspirations and this week we would like to see a tag in your creation.
It could be a tag or a card with a tag on it or maybe you have a more creative idea for something including a tag.

Here is my DT tag

I'm rubbish at taking a photo of my projects, I wish you could see how beautiful the ivy turned out using some bronze glitter card, I love it!
the ivy die is from Joanna sheen's Signature range. Ivy Flourish SD011
this die is my first signature die and it cuts beautifully so it wont be my last, I've already started a new 'wants' list. please pop to JS site and have a look for yourself.

this gorgeous stamp is from Art Journey
this is not an English stamp so not the easiest to use but I sent an email in English and they answered in English and were very helpful. the stamp arrived in a few days so I will use the site again.

The sentiment stamp works perfectly with the image and I got that from Oysterstamps

I wanted some of that lovely frantage stuff that I keep seeing on lots of cards but I haven't got any so I used some Bronze and white acrylic paints and a cocktail stick. OK so it isn't frantage but I think it worked out alright.

If you have any questions give me a shout on my facebook page and i'll try to help.

now its your turn, get creative with a tag and come and join us at Creative Inspirations challenge blog, there is a lovely prize for the winner.

thanks for stopping by

Cuddly Buddly DT Call

Ok so I heard there is a DT call over at CuddlyBuddly, how can a girl resist the chance to make it onto their design Team?

so I grabbed some paper and glue and got got creating.
Trouble is I fell in love with two of their image and couldn't decide which one to use as my dt entry so what the heck, I did both!

here is the first one.....

I fell in love with this teapot Digi and I used my prisma pencils to add the stripes. you can find the digi here and it is a freebie. It reminds me of Sunday tea time at my grandma's house when I was  a little girl. aww such fond memories!

I made a little gift bag to match the card. this bag is made from one sheet of A4 and I will add a tutorial if anyone is interested.

I had to use my MS doily punch with the teapot, it just works.

so that's project one and here is project two...

this time I've made a card and bookmark combo using another cuddly buddly digi image.

the sentiment is one from a set of four from cuddlybuddly

I've used prismas and Derwent coloursoft pencils this time.

If you have any questions please visit my facebook page and I will help if I can.

well this is it, my entries for the DT call, how did I do?
wish me luck!

Happy Birthday Michael

Happy birthday this week to my baby boy who is now 28.... how did that happen?

This weeks theme for Creative Inspirations is 'birthdays' so my DT card can double as Michael's birthday card. 2 for 1

Michael is very busy building a 'man shed' in his garden so this digi is perfect for his birthday card.

this is digi stamp boutique image and I just made a new name plate for the shed.

coloured with copics

I added clouds and sun using a die from lala land. available from oysterstamps.

the grass border die is also lala land from oysterstamps.

I love the little bird, how cute is that!

I really hope you will join us at Creative Inspirations this week, we love to see all your creations.

Forget-me-not by RuthH

Hello,
I'm here to show you a very special card today.

I've kept it  simple so the focus is on the beautiful image.

How can something so delicate be  so powerful?

I absolutely love this digi which was designed by the very talented RuthH and will be available on her site,

this tiny flower has a special meaning to me as its the one I chose to plant in my garden in memory of my only sister. boy I miss her!

every time I see the Forget-me-not flowers in bloom I remember the happy times me and my sister shared.

I can see this digi being used in many ways, a bookmark, a candle, a memory book....
they are just for starters.

I hope you will be able to use it as well. please visit Ruths site and see this digi and many more.

and a message to Ruth..... Thank you so much, your talent is going to be treasured!

CREATIVE INSPIRATIONS... anything goes

hi all,

I'm here to share my DT card for creative inspirations challenge blog..

this week is
ANYTHING GOES
so please come and join us, you could be in with a chance of winning a lovely gift voucher from KennyK

here is my card

I've used Jasmine and coloured her with copics.
I seriously cant decide which I love more, the pens or the pencils. I'm just a colouring addict!

I used some distress ink round the image and felt it need 'something' more but what? hmmm after a little rummage through my box I found some acrylic paint and a cocktail stick, perfect!
little gold and white dots of paint gave me the finish I was hoping for.
her sunglasses were crying out for some glossy accent of course!

I used a papermania embossing folder to make the postcard and then I was very brave and raided my husbands shed for some sandpaper to use on the cordinations card. The brave part was going into that horrible shed...you never know what could be waiting to jump out on you! yuk!

I couldn't finish such a girlie card without flowers and pearls so I grabbed a few in matching colours.

I do love this digi image and I have a couple of idea's I would like to try using her so please come back and see how I get on.

now its your turn....
please come and join us at creative inspirations challenge blog. we would love to see your creations.

hugs for now

News Flash

Hi All,

I have some exciting news to share with you today....

I am so proud to have joined the talented design team at creative inspirations
and here is my first card....

Natalie has chosen a beach theme this week

now anyone who knows me and visits my blog will know I'm a huge sassy Cheryl fan so I have used one of her digi's again for this card.
this is Sally and her dog Bella, you can find them here

I made the card in a easle style with a couple of added folds, its very sinple to do from one 12x12 sheet of card.
let me know if you need measurements or help with it.

papers are from K&Company Best of Brenda Walton collection, I got this mahoosive stack from craft superstore.... honestly, it really mahoosive! I can hardly pick up its so heavy. 360 sheets of gorgeous papers. It was on special offer when I bought mine, only £19.99, how could I resist?

the sentiment was made using LawnFawn alphabet stamps and I added a few real shells and some stamped shells from a Hero Arts clear stamp set.
I can't see a name on the packet but if you want see the set just drop me a line and i'll add a picture of them.

so there you have it.... My first creative inspirations design team card...omg I'm still pinching myself!
I can't believe I've been lucky enough to join this talented team and really hope you will pop over and have a look at the cards made by the other members of the team and maybe join in with the challenge...that would be amazing!
there are some great prizes up for grabs every week so please come and have a look.

thank you for checking out my blog today and for any comments you may wish to leave.

hugs Suzanne2

CAS Sassy Friends

hi all,

I still found time to make a card for the challenge over at sassy Cheryl's this week. thankfully the theme was clean and simple which was handy coz I've got lots to get done this week and I have some exciting new to share with you tomorrow so please pop back to find out about that. (EDIT... its already tomorrow, how did that happen. the time has flown by tonight.)

here is my card...

well they don't come much more simple than this! LOL

don't you just love these two little cuties though.

Its so easy to merge more than one of sassy Cheryl's images using the PNG format. I really need to do more of this.

I've coloured the image with pencils this time. I can't make up my mind which I love using the most, pens or pencils.

talking of pencils.... I'm saving hard to get a set of polychromos so I will be adding a few bits to my 'for sale' page here. if there is anything you are looking for let me know.

please pop over to sassy cheryls challenge blog where I will be entering my card.

thanks for stopping by

For my Favorite Twitcher on our Anniversary

Hi All,
today I have a special card to share with you....

My best friend has been married to me for 32 years today!

I have to really stop and think about that....32 years? how can that be? surely I'm not old enough to have been married that long!

well, he was only 18 on our wedding day. its no wonder my parents were worried.
(dad, look, we lasted)!

LOL

of course I made an anniversary card but forget the flowers, hearts and chocolates....
I went for something that makes me think of Brian....

My favourite twitcher!
anyone who knows Brian will understand this card.... he's a crazy person who likes to get up at 'silly o'clock'  in the mornings and take his camera and scope out to look at birds and whatever else is up at that time.
But he puts up with my crazy craft addiction so we are the perfect match.

feel free to check out some of his photo's Briansbirding.BlogSpot.com

I asked Sassy Cheryl about a bird watcher digi and she told me she was already working on it and she came up trumps yet again...

he's just perfect!
thanks Cheryl!

please check out her adorable digi's. I'm spending my pocket money on them every week. she always has amazing offers.
I really need to find out how to get my hands on some 'real' stamps too but I'm not sure if we can get them in the uk. (note to self....research rubber, Suzanne)

I guess I better get myself off to the kitchen and bake an anniversary cake. I know the way to a man's heart!

to my husband....
Happy Anniversary Brian, you are my best friend and my rock.
AMLAA, Suzanne x

to my craft friends...
thanks for stopping by again today.
I'll be back later with another card to show you.

Suzanne x
