swing time

I'm back with another swing theme card using sassy Cheryl image. well I did tell tell you I love these little images.

hmm now I've added these pictures I'm wondering if my card needs some flowers or some other sort of embellishment. what do you think?

I used copics to colour the image and hung him on a little strip of ribbon.

I half cut the fancy oval into an easel card to create the swing. very simple really.

I'm entering this as my second card into the challenge over at sassy cheryl's challenge blog

the challenge runs for two weeks which means we can enter two cards.

right, I'm off to cut some flowers and see what I think. I may be back with new pictures. LOL

thanks for stopping by.

........edit.......

OK so I'm back after tweeking the card

I've punched a few flowers and leaves and I'm happier with the card now.
I was a little impatient and took the photo before the glue had dried but it won't show soon, trust me it'll be fine!
 lol

spellbinders marvelous squares

oh boy I'm grumpy today!

I've got a lot a pain today but ive managed to keep my mind off it a bit by making a card and here it is...

I've used spellbinders marvellous squares and scalloped edgabilites

I doubled up the frame to give it a bit of dimention.

I love the flock paper!
ive used the impression obsession hearts under the ribbon again, that's becoming a habit for me, I think they are so cute and one of my most used dies now.

all dies used are from oysterstamps
please pop over to the website and have a look at the new spellbinders dies.

Lego Card

hi friends,
can you believe it, I'm back again, twice in one day!

this time I want to show you a card ive made for a young lad who is in hospital after a car accident. His nan is a member of the docrafts forum and the least I can do is send him a card to wish him well.

nanny Gerry told me he likes lego so this is what I came up with...

Lego is so easy to make with a square or rectangle and a small circle punch.

the shape of this card was very easy to do.

I found the tutorial here

Laura is a very talented lady and makes some great shaped cards.
her tutorials are very clear and easy to follow.

Jamie is in our thoughts and I hope he will be back home soon.

well its almost 10.30pm hmmm have I got time to go for a hat-trick?
I think that might be pushing it but I off to start another case now.

dewent coloursoft pencils

hi crafty friends,
I've been practicing with my new pencils, derwent coloursoft, they are lovely!
I still haven't found the perfect cardstock for them yet but I'm getting closer.
this is my card...

photo isn't great again, sorry. I'm blaming the weather and not my poor photography skils.
its very dark, wet and windy here today...yuk!

this shape card is so easy, I simply cut 1 inch in on each side and score at 1 and 2 inches for the steps.

the flowers are so cute, they are a memorybox die called cherry blossom die.

all dies used can be found at oysterstamps
I've used
spellbinders labels 8
large circle die
impression obsession branch
and
couture creation moments in time swirl die.

cardstock used is payperbox available in store at oysterstamps, its great quality and perfect for shaped cards as its nice and strong.

please pop over to oyster and check out the new arrivals and the CHA pre-order goodies. the little distress inks and mini blender are top of my wants list along with the spellbinders perfect positioner tool, it looks really good so I can't wait to try it. I'll let you know my honest opinion when I've tried it.

thanks for stopping by.

hearts, with love.

I've had a lazy day today, hubby went out at silly o'clock this morning in the search for bird photo's. Its freezing out there so rather him than me!
so I amused myself with my paper again and made a card for the challenge over at sassy's cheryls.

the theme is hearts which is easy for me coz I loooove hearts!
this is what I came up with....

how cute is he!
I love Cheryl's images, they are all soooo cute. I've got my eye on a couple more so watch this space.

I used kraft paper for the backing.
dies are spellbinders fanciful lattice and labels 18

I used two different impression obsessions dies for the hearts and added some ribbon and gems.

I used derwent coloursoft pencils for the image but I seriously need to practice with them.
to be honest they didn't work too well of the rymans smooth card so I need to find something else. anyone know the best paper for these pencils?
I do like these pencils but I haven't got it right yet and I'm blaming the paper and the fact that I need a blending pencil. it cant be my fault!
what is it they say, a bad workmen always blames his tools!
LOL
hmmm they also say if at first you don't succeed, try try try again.....
so I'm off to practice so more.

I'm entering this card in the sassy Cheryl challenge.

all dies can be found on the oysterstamps website along with loads of lovely new ones. please have a look. omg the new spellbinders dies look amazing!

thanks for stopping by and for any comments you may wish to leave,
